Biography

Brian Mok is a Hong Kong based jazz guitarist who learned under the tutelage of local jazz guitarist Mark Leung. While he was a student at HKU, he spent 4 years as the guitarist of the university’s jazz big band, Kong U Big Band. During his half-year exchange studies in Copenhagen in 2019, he studied briefly with internationally acclaimed Danish jazz guitarist Jacob Fischer.

He has been invited to perform at various local venues and events including the Freespace Jazz Fest (2020, 2022, and 2023), Laubak Livehouse, Loststars Livehouse, Visage One, Fringe Club, West Kowloon Art Park, Cordis Hotel, Hong Kong International Institute of Music, and the Rui Cunha Foundation in Macau. He was also invited by the HKU General Education Unit as a guest speaker to share about jazz music at one of their Music Salon sessions in 2021. Recently, he has been invited to join the Saturday Night Jazz Orchestra, a long-established local big band led by Mr. Taka Hirohama, and have performed with the band on various occasions including Summer Jazz 2024 and Winter Jazz 2024 held at the Hong Kong City Hall. 

莫皓喬 (Brian Mok) 是活躍於香港的爵士結他手，師承本地爵士結他手梁震宇，在香港大學就讀的四年間，曾為大學的爵士大樂隊Kong U Big Band擔任結他手，2019年於哥本哈根留學期間曾短暫師隨丹麥爵士結他大師Jacob Fischer。

莫氏曾獲邀於本地各大小場地和活動演出，包括2020、2022及2023年自由爵士音樂節、留白Livehouse、Loststars Livehouse、Visage One、藝穗會、西九藝術公園、香港康得思酒店、香港國際音樂學校及澳門官樂怡基金會等。2021年，莫氏獲香港大學通識教育部邀請，為該學年其中一節音樂沙龍活動擔任嘉賓講者，向港大學生推廣爵士樂。近年，莫氏獲邀加入由廣濱尊久先生帶領的星期六爵士大樂隊，隨團參與多次演出，包括在香港大會堂舉行的Summer Jazz 2024及Winter Jazz 2024等。
